Neros tanzende Elektropäpste – “Rotes Brikett”
Exactly 30 (!) years after the release of their last offering on Reinfall Tapes H´rath,
“Die hohe Kunst des Schwitzens” (The noble art of sweating, 1983), there is news
from Aachen´s NDW-absurdists Neros Tanzende Elektropäpste. NTEP-mastermind
ENK, word-smith and synthesizer buff extraordinaire meanwhile living in the North-
East of China – during daytimes disguised as a Professor of Linguistics – has returned
to his musical roots: un-dusted his fretless bass guitar and drumboxes, and for good
measure added a hefty alto sax to the Nero´s acoustic arsenal.
Joined via internet by his original NTEP collaborator Rolf Merx on guitar, he lays down
a thick carpet of synthesized hamster funk, pumping retro electo pieces, and rythmic
sound collages for lyrics bristling with NTEP´s trademark Dada humor. Poking fun at
the pompous twats running today’s Germany, the war-mongering Yanks, the churches,
and generally taking the piss. Due to the long hiatus and abundance of material
accumulated, “Rotes Brikett” (= Red Briquette) features almost two hours of new songs.
Ranging from polished, catchy numbers to old-style NTEP-oddities using samples from
underground movies, the processed voices of Dada pioneers Huelsenbeck and Schwitters,
and original lyrics spoken or sung by computer, in eye-winking Kraftwerk tradition.
The heavily effect-treated saxophone (think: Jon Hassle, with a dash of James Chance)
adds a different flavour to some of the pieces. A worthy return of Aix-la-Chapelle´s
former underground heroes. Who would have expected this? In another place, in
another time: Neros Tanzende Elektropäpste are back. Sharper and wittier than
ever, musically matured, and still in a class of their own. Nonsense deluxe!

Waldwirtschaft”
New double MC album from germanys soundcrap taskforce no.1. The
recording dates of the sources, that was used for this record,
spread over a time from 1980 to 2013. Recycled rehearsal room
recordings meet sound exibitions. Bedroom collages from airplays
and lots of ethereous surroundings come along with artist
discussions. A real adventure in sound!

Drachensülze/Waldfriedhof
High bias chrome tape.
A station-to-station transcendental journey from the
post-industrial coal hills of Duffesheide
along mouldy bus lines, all the way to Dead Man´s Curve (“Von der
Disco in den Tod”), and
untimately Waldfriedhof, an old cemetery outside Aix-la-Chapelle.
Propelled by the evil spirit
of Knolli Schabau, a ritual drink distilled from local potatoes
and imbibed by the youth of
Duffesheide at the annual Potato Festival. There are strange
forces at work here…
Drachensülze Waldfriedhof present their very own brand of
industrial psychedelia, cut-up
layered walls of swirling percussion, disembodied voices, shreds
of noise, horny grunting
priests, computer-generated voices, and the triumphant howling of
yellow elephants.
Hidden among the rhythmic debris as a bonus, there is a recording
of some of Aachen´s
finest: pioneers of the 80´s tape scene, reminiscing and narrating
tales of way back when,
among the clanging of glasses.

An offical reissue of the two Abnorm tapes originally released in
1981 on “Reinfall Tapes”, catalogue numbers rc005 – Letzte Ölung
and rc010 – Leise flehen meine Lieder. Sometimes resembling the
contemporaneous NDW, sometimes in the field of electronic and
electro-acoustic experimentation. Some tracks with absurdist and
DaDa lyrics, highly original. Their complete recordings are
re-relased as a double-tape box, featuring collages created for
this occasion by one of the original Abnorm-ists.
Neros
tanzende Elektropäpste (= Nero´s dancing electro-popes) – Lust
am Untergang-BOX
Double MC album.
The better-known follow-up project of Abnorm. Started by one of
the Abnorm members, and involving the guitar player of “Der
Verdacht” along with other, temporary collaborators, “Neros
tanzende Elektropäpste” had a distincly more humorous flavour. To
many in Aix-la-Chapelle, they were the uncrowned kings of the DaDa
faction within the NDW. This tape double album presents a reissue
of their complete(ly) hilarious and exuberant output from
1981-1983. The material was originally released in four
installments by “Reinfall Tapes”: rc011 – Wer schön sein will,
muß leiden, rc015 – Portrait einer Legende, rc016 – Hamsterfunk
aus der Landesanstalt, rc019 – Die hohe Kunst des Schwitzens. The
cover is an original new collage by Nero-mastermind ENK.
Ufos
über Palästina (= UFOs over Palestine)
Double MC album.
The 90s “update” of Neros tanzende Elektropäpste: their two core
members plus two synth and electronic buffs from Frankfurt,
where all the material was recorded. Expect a more polished
sound, produced with state-of-the-art synth hardware, combined
with the same absurdist and DaDa spirit in their lyrics.
Tongue-in cheek humor and sarcasm influenced by early 20th
century German nonsense poetry in the vein of Morgenstern and
Ringelnatz. Catchy melodies, lots of samples, the works…
Currently our favourite. “UFOs über Palästina” contains a choice
of their best songs from 1991-1995. For the very first time
released here, in a tape double album with original art-work and
some extras. This continues our series of Neros-related
releases.
More is yet to come, gentle listener…
Enno Rheses Fritzodelia
5 CD Box
Edition of 20 5 cd boxes. Comes in handcraftetd cardboard boxes, coverart by Tina. A compilation of all known Enno Rhese tapes. The original tapes where recorded around 1988 in an edition of only one copy each. Those where given away to friends of the artist. In 1995 the dortmund based verygood records label released a sort of “best of” from the tapes tracks as vinyl record. Record was relased as verygood 04. Now for the first time ever the whole material become an official release with authorisation from the artist. All 5 cds are burnt with professional equipment on high end data carriers. CDs packed separatly in clam shell cases.

Muffbude - Intermezzo für defektes Tonband

Edition of 100 cdrs. Printed deluxe digipack, Typography artwork by Tina. Highend data carrier with shiny white and silver surface, burnt at lowest speed with professional hardware. Documentation of recordings from 1993. A partly defunct grundig TK147 reel to reel machine was used as recording equipment. The machine generates echo and distortion sounds by itself. The used tape contained already recorded music which turns up ungovernable. Intimate conversations, television and kitchen noise are recorded with a simple microphone. Also some airplay from shortwave and vhf wave recorded with old tube receivers.
